It’s amazing to think that I have been a resident magician at Houdini’s Magic Bar for over 9 years. During that time, I have brought wonder and excitement to many groups of people. Hen parties, Stag parties, date nights, wedding anniversaries, birthday parties and people just wanting to experience some amazing magic …. I’ve seen it all.
Perhaps the most heartwarming moment was when I performed for a gentleman sitting by himself. He was almost in tears as he explained afterwards that he had been battling depression for several years after Covid, and for a little while I had taken his mind off his worries and he could actually relax and enjoy himself.
Magic has that wonderful ability to transport people away from their everyday worries and make the world seem a brighter place, even if just for a short time.
